Why are there so many people on this site that seem to only want to bag the Great & Mighty Parramatta Eels. If I am not mistaken this is an Eels supporters forum, that is what the banner at the top of the screen says anyway.
I know we are all allowed to have our opinions, but come on, we had a bad year, the players obviously didn't respond to the coach, lack of respect or what ever it was meant that the best thing was to change, get someone in that will demand the right to lead and force the players to follow.
I also see alot of people bagging Morts, last year most of you would have let this kid move into your house, now you want to throw him out with the garbage, he is a young kid with more pressure than most, firstly the last name, that in itself would put some pressure on, but then to put on the fabeled blue & gold #7, imagine living with the ghost of Mortimer and Sterling, and only in your first full season in the NRL. I believe the kid will come good, maybe not as 7 but he will find his place with the right mentoring.
Then there are the people who have said they would like to see us take the spoon next year to show the board that they stuffed up, well they can (I would like to write something here but it would be inapropriate for this site), a true Eels fan would never wish anything on his or her side but a premiership.
Come on people, support the Eels, stop bagging them.
Oh yeah, and congrats to the Wenty Magpies Bundy Cup side for their 8th championship in a row.

You must be a caprenter because you hit the nail on the head.
I am pumped for 2011, i think we are in for a great resurrection year and a premiership is hopefully coming up in the near future.
I believe we will be heading in the right direction. Sometimes you have to hit the bottom of the barrel to come all the way back to the top and i think 2010 is the bottom of the barrel.
Nothing wrong with recognising when and where your team and the people behind it have messed up. Some bad decisions have been made of late and some of us just aren't that impressed with what has happened to our club/team. I'll never stop supporting them though and I hope things turn around real quick. But at the same time, I'm not going to be one of those people who refuse to acknowledge reality when it's staring them in the face.
It smacks of desperation an poor leadership at the top. Daniel Anderson bled blue and gold. Long gone are the days of five year contracts for Brian Smith and hear hear. But players should not be running the football team.
I am a big fan of football (soccer) and I can tell you that the clubs with the best winning records back their coaches and give them everything they need. Patience is a virtue in club management (to a point) and it brings results in the long run.
Our club clearly has internal issues and Fitzy must be laughing into his Pina Colada on a beach somewhere.
This is not the way to build a successful club.
As for Anderson, he never had a chance to get his own players, he inherited most of them, then had others foisted upon him at the end of last year by a new board trying to assert itself. He was a victim of politics plain and simple and that is not what Parramatta RLFC has ever been, nor should it ever be about...one of the many reasons we wanted Fitzy gone.
In my opinion if you supported the punting of Hagan then you support the punting of Anderson. Records were very similar.
