Some of the refereeing didn't help either especially in the 2nd half. The Eels didn't get 1 penalty in the 2nd half and you can't tell me the dogs were always back 10 metres or didn't hold the players down or slow up the play the ball.

Wille E, except for Kennys lost brain he did play well at times, what dissapointed me outside of the usual Kiwi twit in the center, after he got a good coaching lesson from Aiding Toleman, was the way the eels turned off their attacking play in the second half.
The backs had virtually no plays that gave them space to move, the two tries that our wingers scored were brilliant, and with the forwards going forward had the dogs on the backfoot, yet once ahead they tied the game up and simply tried to defend the 10 point lead. The dogs came out in the 2nd half in the way that was expected but thankfully got away with the points.
First time I have won a tipping comp with the eels winning by one point, very happy with that.
I think you're being a bit harsh. We didn't play smart but we still fought hard. You're right a team that knows how to attack would have beaten us but the effort was always there and on this occasion it was enough to get a win.
"Great blog, Poppsy!
Smith indeed is some special and I can see him defo being a rep player.
TDS has speed to burn and will crucify lazy and slow ruck defence in the last 15-20 mins. He'll target tired forwards straight down the middle. I like JR's…"
"Start Samrani either centre or wing. He smashed the sharks and the chooks. Was fast, tackle-busting and once he set his eyes on the try line it was curtains for the opposition.
I'd start him on the wing as not to disrupt Rusty and the combos set up…"
