It’s official – tomorrow’s Eels v Knights clash is now the ultimate Spoon Bowl. With the Titans knocking over the Tigers tonight, we can just about hand chimp Matty Johns – and the incoming Dylan Brown – the dreaded wooden spoon 🥄.
And honestly, how sweet would it be to see Matty cop it? The “human chimp” loves playing the clown on his show, so there’d be nothing better than giving him the biggest prop of all – the spoon.
As for Dylan, you’ve got to wonder… how’s it going to feel knowing the team he’s about to join knowing he might be the one dishing out the embarrassment? Surely he’d have a hard time knowing he's leaving a team on the rise and heading over to the reigning spoon holders - how embarrassing.
Biggest crowd of the season expected tomorrow – time to fire up, Parra fans. Let’s make it count.

For mine, if any team has to win its last game in order to win the spoon, its good enough.
For Parramatta, we can jump Wests and Cowboys, we can ram home the improvements under Ryles, and give the team who took one of our own the Wooden Spoon. Plenty to play for.
We have trouble over the years to beat Newcastle at home we can beat them there but we all ways have trouble beating them at home for some reason

Newcastle haven't beaten us at home since 2014. It's the other way around, we struggle more at Newcastle, not of late but that's how it used to be.
As we saw with the desperation of the Titans yesterday, avoiding the embarrassment of being the worst team will be a big factor and Newcastle will treat this as a gf
I don't think it would matter who Parra is playing today, Penisni 100th game, Dylan brown goodbye game, Moses Lomax putting hand up for Aussie side and Ryles demanding good performances from his team. Eels should blow them off the park

I think earlier in the season, the players weren't yet familiar with Ryles style. It takes time. That cost us earlier on
