It’s official – tomorrow’s Eels v Knights clash is now the ultimate Spoon Bowl. With the Titans knocking over the Tigers tonight, we can just about hand chimp Matty Johns – and the incoming Dylan Brown – the dreaded wooden spoon 🥄.
And honestly, how sweet would it be to see Matty cop it? The “human chimp” loves playing the clown on his show, so there’d be nothing better than giving him the biggest prop of all – the spoon.
As for Dylan, you’ve got to wonder… how’s it going to feel knowing the team he’s about to join knowing he might be the one dishing out the embarrassment? Surely he’d have a hard time knowing he's leaving a team on the rise and heading over to the reigning spoon holders - how embarrassing.
Biggest crowd of the season expected tomorrow – time to fire up, Parra fans. Let’s make it count.

Eels will finish in 10th position when we beat the Knights tomorrow. Not a bad year with the new coach and roster. Go PARRA!
Yep. .
I think the highest we can get if we win is 11th ill be happy with that
Great result, imagine if Moses was injury free what would have been
I say we just focus on us mate.
Just hoping for a win and good showing from our boys, to springboard into the off-season on a high. Momentum is everything.
Don't want the feeling the Tigers must have now. The loss to the Titans tonight un-did any positives in the year.
Yeah the spoon situation isn't really our problem, focus is entirely on getting the little things right and building good habits for next season. Lomax and Moses probably want to put their best foot forward for ashes chances to, Parra 13+ imo
Teams like Cowboys, Tigers, Dragons were considered competitors for Top 8 at some point of the season, and I think all were in the top 8 for a few weeks.
Finishing in 11th will mean we finish above them all, and only 3 wins from Top 8.
I think the players will look at that and see how achievable it is to get Top 8 if they keep playing as they are.
I really really want us to win.
If Moses was fully fit this season, we make the 8. That's got to be a massive boost to our young players confidence. So close, and many players hadn't played a single NRL game before this season. Just need to continue the upward momentum into next year.
Remember when the Gutherson fluffers were crying about how good he was going and how he was going to torpedo the Fagons into the 8 with his passion 😂.
This.
If we just do what we've been doing and get all the BS out of our game and do the basics correctly we'll win this game easily.
If we try to get to care free on it and invite Newcastle into the contest then that will be on us.Set for set footy bury them in corners and hand them the rope.
