Let's give the team till round 8 to gel

Lets give em till the chance to gel first before sticking the boot in. But if no change I think a shift in the backline. Takka to 5/8, a good lil kicking game help norman a bit more. Gutho to fullback French to wing. Organization in defence close to ine bit worried think gutho could fix this and when we do our sweep plays gutho will be better at it. Sorry French I'm a big fan but improvements is needed a bit of confidence maybe French and gutho rotate through the game. Hoffman to wenty ava to centre with French. If semi gets suspended the jennings brothers on the left side. Wonder if will Smith a regular first grader? Kaysa is going alright. When kenny gets back he and kaysa rotate and have brown start at lock beau Scott to bench. Have one captain at a time on the field, Scott is good at getting under refs skin, brown will have to do that while hes off. This is my thoughts if the current formation isnt going to click, thoughts anyone?

I agree that the issues you identify are legit issues. But "time to gel" implies this mob are fresh off the boat. By contrast, I think they have little excuse not to be hitting the ground running. A few positional swaps, yes, but Gutho and Bev trialed in their current spots last year.

  We have a brand new spine who outside of Norman have an average age of 21.5.
  Kaysa has never played starting hooker, or 80 mins.
  Gutherson had half a dozen games at 5/8th last year after playing the majority of his juniors at fullback or wing.
  And French had played 3 games at fb last year.
  This team certainly needs time to gel, but our biggest issue at the moment is footy fundamentals. If we can complete at 80% and above the rest will come.

My expectations for this season were to wait until round 9 (even before Kenny and Terepo's folly). Given we have a new spine, new forwards, new combinations etc etc, these things all take time. As such, i set my sights on round 9 before tearing my hair out and being overcome with disappointment! Anything better than 4 wins will be good news and the odds should juicy enough for bet by then.

Kaysa not up to it, his brother is slow. Taka slow and has not gel with Hoff which is a concern, Take to the bench, try a new centre.

Well said. That's the issue, the fundamentals. They need to get that right before we start criticising the team.

I wasn't at the game, but they looked a bit flat to me and they seemed to be playing catch up footy when they didnt need to. They panicked, even Beau Scott was making some extremely poor decisions in attack.

  Yes and let's hope BA has put a rocket up them this week and alby mangels palmer has had 4 red bulls before training:-))
