We've all got our favourite coaches and players in any sport. They can often come up with some brilliant one-liners that are repeated for generations. Parramatta have had the fortune of having the great Jack Gibson coach them and he was known for his perfectly apt one-liners.
So what are some of your favourites? They don't have to be from rugby league. Any sport will do.
I'll kick it off with two of my favourites:
"Waiting for Cronulla to win a Premiership is like leaving the porchlight on for Harold Holt." Jack Gibson.
"We always had the two best teams in Merseyside. Liverpool and Liverpool reserves." Bill Shankly (Merseyside also includes Liverpool's bitter cross-town rivals Everton).

I am not sure the person who said this. A trainer asks his jockey why he did not take a gap between horses. Jockey: "The gap was going faster than I was."
lol Sounds like something i backed yesterday bernie.
"What is your deepest fear" Coach Ken Carter.
Not quite right AAE, "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
I think Olympic athlete Jesse Owens covered it from A-Z:
"In the end, it’s extra effort that separates a winner from second place. But winning takes a lot more that, too. It starts with complete command of the fundamentals. Then it takes desire, determination, discipline, and self-sacrifice. And finally, it takes a great deal of love, fairness and respect for your fellow man. Put all these together, and even if you don’t win, how can you lose?”
Really like that one Bernie.
Winning is a habit unfortuately so is losing-Vince Lombardi
