"How'd that blowtorch work out Tripp???"
"Exactly, MeelK. 100% agree. Which could also be protection against the NRL if they plan to try and get some sort of payback.

"This would seriously be one of the best bit of news we've received as parra fans imo! Fifteen other clubs to talk turkey with Zac and eventually there's gonna be one we give our written approval to exit to! ...we are not unreasonable just play…"

Pretty sure BA will sort that out if he feels there is a blockage in the left hand pipe.
It's a possibility but I highly doubt it. Jennings never really got the opportunity to pass much this evening. Normie and Foz had us attacking all over the park including up the middle - we weren't nearly as one dimensional as we have been. I reckon Semi will be scoring a stack this year once things get rolling. I'll be backing him again.
I wouldn't be putting too much money on Semi repeating his tally from last year. We were a "one trick pony" when it came to attacking options last year. Hopefully this year we will have a heap of options, left right and centre
Agree Phil, can already see from tonight that the halves are gonna have us attacking all over the park. I still reckon he is a good chance though - especially if he stays fit - he missed 6 weeks last year and still topped it.
Early days. Still as I said on another thread, it was & is something that concerns me. Did not see tonights game but if there was a lot of different plays, well that does not surprise me, as from reading some of the training reports there has been a lot of emphasis on ball work, meaning the two halves will be playing & directing a lot of open plays.
The thing is if Jennings is the player he should be, & that is greed does not take over & he wants to shine all the time, then Semi will not see a lot of ball. But, at the same time if Jennings can play smart & draw in the opposition defence, then Semi will get the ball. The other & final thing is that opposition coaches will be heading their players up to watch them both & don't get sucked in.
Both have initial off the mark speed, so using that together will look nice, & could prove to be a winner for the team.
By tonight trial jennings was rushed up upon a lot and didn't get much opportunities, Also the high penalty count by both teams meant it was all close range tries, semi scored a fair bit last season from 40-50 out after a back line play with plenty of room. In saying that i was one who wanted taka/semi and jennings/gutho
Semi will still score enough
and it's 4 points regardless of who scores it.
I didn't really see any cases today where Jennings deliberately hogged the ball when Semi was in a much better position to score, perhaps over the course of the year that will happen and if it does I'll call Jennings on it but quite frankly comments on this site regarding Jennings are way over the top
I seem to recall Daniel Tupou scoring a few tries playing outside Jennings.
The issue is the stifling of tries, not who scores them!
David being one of those who have expressed concerns about Jennings, I have also said & will repeat it againg.
I hope I am proved wrong, no doubt as the two develop their styles together thing should hopefully improve.
