Hi all, I noticed that nobody has mentioned the upcoming Leagues Club election and wanted to flag it, because it's really important that every PLC member takes 5 minutes to vote.

The Club has come along way since the constitution reforms and is performing really well on all measures, and it would be a tragedy if we all get apathetic and the old guard managed to find their way back in.
1Eyed's own Phil Sim is actually one of the Directors who is up for election this year, along with Mark Jenkins. Without getting too political, there are a couple of candidates who are aligned with the old factions, and the last thing both our Clubs need right now, is instability. I urge all members to re-elect both Phil Sim and Mark Jenkins.

So if you are a PLC member, please get your vote in now. You should have received an email from the club and you can vote on-line with just a few clicks.
Some members may have been sent a voting ballot in the post and if you haven't you can contact the club and get it re-sent.

On-line voting closes at 5pm on the 20th March.

The AGM is the following week 27th March 2022, 10am at Jack's Bar & Grill. You can watch it on-line here: http://meetnow.global/MRMQTJK
Parramatta Leagues Club members of 3 or more years are eligible to vote.

  • Should add that the AGM is on the 27th March at the Leagues Club and voting closes at 5pm on the 20th March.

To be eligible to vote you need to be a member for a minimum of three years.

  • Say what you will about how we end a season by not winning a comp, but at least we can say we are well ran club on and off the field. Stability is key and is how we fell into the trap last time, took us a decade to re-gather ourselves and now only seeing the effect of it.

  • The difference in the way the club has been run post-reform and post-factions has been night and day, both in an on-the-field sense and an off-the-field sense. The Leagues Club is a major contributor to that success and it's imperative that we keep rewarding the talent that has brought us success and don't revert back to the bad old days.

I'd strongly back the re-election of Phil Sim and Mark Jenkins and encourage others to do their research and do the same.

We need not only stability, but to reward success.

    • Yep, well said Captain.

  • Spot on Mutt, done mine last night took all of 5 minutes. Sim and Jenkins to stay and keep this stable ship moving forward.

  • VOTE#1 PHIL SIM

  • Phone the League's club today trying to find out how long I've been a member, left a message and still waiting for someone to return my call.

  • Do you guys think that there may be some funny business going on with regards to the current lawsuit against us. Ie, make the board look bad prior to the elections?
