This Blog is simply to illustrate my disappointment in what I have read this morning.
The comments I have read this morning, all suggest how rubbish our season is going and how major change is necessary. Need I remind everyone, that it was the beginning of JULY last year before Parramatta showed any sign of promise last year. We were languishing at the bottom of the table and competing for the wooden spoon. DA was under scrutiny, so were our top players and not many believed that we could make the Finals... we all know how that story ended.
This morning I read more of the same. It also saddens me to see so many blogs on KK (and people calling me out and niggling me), telling me to eat my words and how gutless the KK supporters are for not coming and defending him.
I admit that from what I hear, our halves did not have a dominant performance last night. However, it doesn't appear that anyone, apart from perhaps Justin Poore had a dominant game.
This is where the trolls on this forum fail to understand my point about Kris Keating. Once people recognise that he has become this year's scapegoat and takes the majority of the blame for our losses, people should begin to understand why I come into bat for him. Parramatta are a confidence team and from what I hear, we are playing with little confidence at the moment. The Sharks game is a perfect example - when teams don't have confidence those 50 / 50 plays don't come off (think of Luke Burt's bounce). The whole team needs to shoulder the blame for current performances... including both halves, the older members at the club and the rest of the boys in the jersey. We win as a team and lose as a team.
It just disappoints me, that there is so much support for those who bag out our players, and then those that attempt to put a positive spin on things are called dreamers, biased, that they are in love with the players or are part of the players families.
The bottom line is, is that DA is the coach. He proved what an amazing coach he is last year and has the support of the majority on this site... yet when it comes to team changes etc everyone is suddenly an expert. The reality is that we have put faith in our young juniors like KK and Jono Wright... when they are not doing well... we want to replace them with more Juniors!! I fathom to think how any Juniors can develop when Parramatta fans don't give combinations time to gel and are so critical of these young players who in reality are doing their best.
To all the player bashers out there - I am truly tired of fighting the battle. But please know when you blame KK solely for a loss, blame MK for global warming, suggest how rubbish Justin Poore and (funnily enough, after the devastation on this site when Inu announced he was leaving) bad Inu, I'll be there reading... but simply haven't the energy anymore to respond. It makes me feel good to have ultimate faith in our players and to see the best in them. If people choose to focus on the negatives and express themselves in that manner, that is their prerogative.
I still believe that we will come around and that this is just a small bump in the road.

We need to face the facts we have some average talent and that we may be playing to our skill level. At which point I support the Eels 100 per cent. BUT we over rate our players for their talent and pass off their poor performance with comments like we are a confidence side.
PLEASE: 0 points in 120 minutes is more than just confidence. We have the worst for in the NRL and this reflects our lack of talent and skill in attack. Love our players but the fact that 1986 is now coming on 25 years ago shows how limited our talent is and has been for a long time.
I can completely understand why you would suggest giving KK or Morts a stint in Wenty. As I said, Parramatta is a confidence team and when we are not playing with confidence, the whole team suffers.
However - I still refuse to accept that any one of the players I have mentioned is the sole reason for our losses and I hate seeing them horribly rubbished.
You have never done that and I enjoy reading your posts. :-)
I am doing a combined Law degree and yesterday graduated from my International Studies degree. :-)
As you said you did not see the game I suggest you do.
The attitude and body language of almost the entire team displayed "Who the F@$% Cares"
Several part time efforts by a few and probably only one player who looked like he tried for the full 80 mins.
I refuse to come back on this site till next week so that my disgust in the effort last night does not erupt into saying things I could regret later.
Unfortunately for Kris Keating he plays in one of the most scurtinised positions & at parra - people see potential and demand results - It would have been the perfect opportunity to silence his critics and stamp his mark, could be a maturity thing? IMO i dont think hes grabbing the opportunity with both hands but shouldnt have to shoulder all the blame.
Just another minor detail - we were only playing the best team in the comp who were on top of there game.
