Last game at parra stadium

Hey everybody i don't know if it outrages anybody as much as me that our last game at parra will be wated on a monday night when it could easily be a sell out event on a Saturday or Sunday.I've emailed the NRL feedback@nrl.com.au about this if you feel as i do i suggest we send them emails to try move the game it probably won't work but hey its woth a try. Below is the email i sent.To whom it may concern I'm writing in regards to the draw for the final 6 weeks. Can you please explain to me why parramatta's last game at the stadium is on a monday night? 30 years ago the stadium opened against the dragons now the final game against the Dragons, wow it has a marketing potential to sell out if it was a Saturday or sunday game. All year I'd planned to take my son to this game his 1st game the last before the renovation, now i can't as i work nights and can never attened a monday game.I simply don't understand how with the legitimate threat the GWS giants pose to football in the west you would waste this opportunity to show why we deserve a new stadium to make it a great moment to sell our a game that should go down in eels history.I sincerely hope this can be changed as in my opinion this is a major missed opportunity especially as there are still alot of eels fans who feel hard done by from the NRL. Regards

  • If we had a representative on the board who had a relationship with the NRL, they may have been able to negotiate a better outcome, like the obvious Sunday afternoon game. The NRL has frozen out the board. The fans are the unfortunate casualties.

  • 2 teams that they expect to have little to no effect on the final 8 (even though St George is on the fringe at the moment - they are hardly inspiring any expectation from their fans). I'd expect Monday night would be right. Just trying to look at the big picture.

  • I'm with you it is bullshit and a kick in the guts.
  • We'll be out of the 8, by the last game. NRL know this.
    • Sure but as Gol said, Rabbitohs / Knights is the alternative. They won't be in the 8 either. As far as the NRL are concerned, it's talk to the hand for this board. I'm
  • Doing something is better than nothing
  • While it will get us no where I'll join you TOE. What it will do is highlight to the NRL that the missed opportunity is unacceptable. Something is better than nothing....
  • Thanks mate
