I was not a great fan of this years jersey's but with the special offer made to those members I thought why not? took the plunge and ordered one, that was Friday and this morning it arrived on the door step. I was surprised at how small and light the package was but on opening it, found the material was much like Lycra, is this what they play in these days was my thoughts, yet being light great for hot days and saw how easy they tear in matches so I guess its what the players wear.
I was also surprised as I had not seen it before that on the back were a row of all the jersey emblems in small format that adorned the eels jerseys over the years, which to me was a surprise and nice touch, pity about the screaming canary yellow on the arm bands though.

The players ones are a different material to what us supporters get, the players ones are a thicker material that has very small holes to allow it breathe better to keep the players cooler and also has some soft rubberized spots on the the front to help with ball control when the ball is close to the body. The players ones are also much smaller and a bit stretchy. I won a players worn one in a auction and it's a 2XL, the supporters one i wear is a L and a bit loose but the players 2XL is tiny compared to it can't even get it over my shoulders.

All my other jersey's are XXL for me, but the L size fits quite ok as I have lost a bit of weight.
While I initially did not like the Parra across the gold stripe I don't mind it as much now but having my birth year also is nice as memorability.
