With mid game injuries to both Inglis and DCE - Hayne could have covered with fullback or 5/8th. I think the result could have been very different!

Yep. I think we were definitely short one or two big forwards and missed Matt Scott's unrelenting workrate. I'm surprised Guerra was picked over Cordner. We also probably missed Luke Lewis' versatility, he could've played centre instead of Guerra. Jarryd would've probably given the Kangaroos extra confidence but I don't know if he could've ripped the game open given the Kiwis' dominance around the ruck. We missed out in the engine room and that's where the Kiwis dominated.

We were gone before DCE limped off. We need a 5/8th, JT is good enough to cover either side of the field but plays better in the number 7. Out of a 25 man squad Sheens picks three Queensland 7s. WTF didn't NSW win this year, Reynolds out played DCE in SOO, but Hunt gets picked before him. We also missed Tamou, Fifita and Scott in the front row. Woods went ok, just needed some help in the engine room. Thaiday and Parker are not props, Papalli is crap. Farrah is not a half, again Reynolds could cover hooker if something happened to Smith. Im so over Bird, he has to go.
IMO Sheens farked up with his choice of squad, and was the straw that broke JH's passion for RL. Players chosen in the squad just because they are QLDers, Inglis chosen over JH at fullback.
Inglis was chosen at fullback because Hayne had walked. Matt Moylan (a fullback) replaced Hayne in the squad, so what does that indicate? That Hayne was probably going to play fullback.

The point of the discussion thread was that Hayne's missing will/is having a knock on effect in the national side. Sure we are missing other quality players thru injury who also make a big difference. Some people are just pricks for the sakes of it on this forum! Relax it's not a fucking competition to prove how smart you (think you) are!
