Knights and Cowboys fighting over Sandon Smith

A bidding war has broken out between the Knights and Cowboys for the services of Sandon Smith. Knights have offered a 4 year deal and Cowboys a 3 year 1.3 million dollar deal. Most of us wanted the club to join in on this (me included) but Ryles has backed Joash and once again seems to be on the money with his assessment. Guess we'll just have to start trusting his judgement on these things 😂

                  • I understand a few players are out, is this a revolt against Cayless? hahaha tinfoil hat on.

But i wonder if Cayless is here in 2026 based making top 4 or if he bows out in finals quickly Ryles gets a new NSW Cup coach.

                    • I dont disagree with your thinking LB, I was surprised that Cayless had been picked as he was a disaster in all his previous associations coaching for us.

The reality is I know nothing of the real circumstances, but this to me should be his last chance, in our new regime he can no longer walk around with blinkers on. If it is another classic Cayless failure he has to go.

Its imperative to me for us that to be a threat for a premiership that our second side needs to be 1/2 in the Cup Premiership.

There is no point in bringing good juniors through if you have a "gumby" second grade coach. Do some research and get Ryles to choose someone that he sees will work with and for him with a view to bringing that coach through eventually to first grade.

One thing I remember being told by one of my boys, is that they met Hindmarsh and Cayless down the Gold Coast a number of years back and if ever there were candidates for dumb and dumber, they were the pick!

  • In other news, its Morgan Harpers B'Day today

    • user name checks out

      • He seemed a nice enough guy, his son was a keen Parra supporter and he played more first grade than most of us on this site.

How would you go sitting down and having beer with him and asking about the game. I bet he doesn't say, "who cares".

Actually Michael W, Coryn and Bup are the only  trio I can think of that maybe have played more first grade than him, do we have any other sleepers out there?

        • What the hell are you on about..are you saying Coryn and your fucking buddyguy W have played more FG than Harper...Please Explain!!!

I will never give a fuck about some bloke who i don't know having birthdays

  • If knights are going foe him, then the coach is sealed
