  • This will not go down well. Ricky Stuart was in the DT this morning blowing up about loosing players for the game. Reading the article it seemed like a pre-emptive strike by Ricky for what will be a tough season for the Raiders.

    • They could do a lot worse than bring back Bluey McClennan.

  • A one off test worth absolutely nothing in the scheme of things, no way NRL clubs should be letting anybody go for it.

    • Actually, they are committed to playing for the next three years. Besides every rep game means something. If we want Test footy to be great again, England need regular tough footy. I think it's a great idea. It's more or less equidistant, both teams would have to make two flights and we get the chance to promote Rugby League in the US of A, and the clubs won't be affected unless there is an injury.

    • Agreed Brett
  • How can coaches justify releasing players for SOO and not for this test especially as won't miss an nrl game. The players involved aren't eligible for origin and this is their chance for rep honours.
If coaches stop players they should not be allowed to play the next nrl game.
    • They can't. Players must be available for rep duty if fit, unless they are given special dispensation to be retired from rep duty.

    • They can bretty. Jamie Lyon the turd, ring a bell.
Never officially retired, just said don't pick me, I'm not interested so they didn't.
      Happens more than you know.
  • Im more interested in Parramatta being great again mate, test RL is garbage.

    • No reason we can't have both.

"He was provided all the legal advice before signing the release and understood the stipulations. Just because R360 didn't eventuate doesn't mean he can force his way out of it lol. Spoilt brat defence is not going to work for Lomax or the storm 🤣 "

Hell On Eels replied to Johnny Suede's discussion Lomax legal promise could create salary-cap headache for Storm
"LB, Eli, good stuff gents. We've acted in good-faith. By the book. With clean hands. Lomax appears not to. Still, equity is not unlikely to view an NRL-wide 3-year restraint until 31Oct 28' as overly-punitive and read it down.
We'd still win,…"
