Hey all,
Tonite at work i met and had a great chat with Krisnan Inu, flying out to N.Z .... Very Friendly guy....
Through talk with him, he said he and Feleti were very cut over being pushed out. He said it was Anderson who wanted them out... i said to him i have followed EELS all my life and what i found strange is that we have pushed our local juniors out (Inu, Keating and Feleti) to bring in some players at end of their careers from England etc.... He said they werent offered any contract to stay...
He said 'yeah thats what hurts most".... Thats what fans find hard to believe too he said.
I said to him that Daniel Anderson became unpopular very quick, he just grinned... said nothing more about that....
He also said he is looking forward to the 2nd trial as we play them (warriors), then the 1st round as well. He plans a big one....
Just thought would pass it on.... Its nice to hear it from the players themselves.
Also on Sonny Bill Williams, also seen him a week ago, also flying out to N.Z,
He is one big muther, built like a brick shithouse, i was in awe, im a big guy too, but gees, he is solid as and tall. Would look good running off Mortimer????

Next time somebody has a run in with Inu, please ask him if weould have stayed at the eels for the same money that Hicks, Atkins and co were signed on.
The Inu situaton is black and white. He was on overs the last 3 years and did not peform. Why anyone has a problem with Inu leaving is beyond me. Great talent but he is just not that good.
He didnt perform, true.... Would have liked to see him under Kearney, that goes for Feleti too??
Can Hicks, Matua, Atkins, Walker offer more than Inu would have??? I doubt it.... Time will tell...
Yes Bert i doubt it as well.
Its a shame, both these para Juniors have so much talent, with the correct coach who knows, I wonder if we will ever find out.
SBW is a specimen isn't he, blokes who train can appreciate that.
Whilst I agree that Inu and Mateo likely would have excelled under SK, I cannot countenance your statement re "correct coach". DA IS a proven good coach and from my experience talking to the man he's a highly intelligent, analytical, albeit intense guy.
Blokes like Inu and Mateo get paid about 7 times more than I to do to do something they love and they should not require a head coach to play the sycophant in order to get the best performances from them consistently. Even Mateo acknowledged he could have trained harder.
Do I wish they were still with us? Of course! Do I wish they their attitudes were so good such that they would have given the club no option other than to re-sign them to develop under SK? Absolutely!
DA may not have been the "correct coach" for them personally, and it was inevitably in the club's power to determine that, but similarly, it was in their power to consistently play to the best of their ability and have a crack (like Hayne) - which they clearly didn't.
Interestingly, Hindy - whom we all love and admire - really looked up to DA...
P.S. I noticed your call for a good political argument in another thread the other day My Bob and apologies for not replying. My dog has been very ill this last week and I've spent most of my time at the bloody vet. He's coming good now so I'm ready to go! Say something that will piss off Perfecta and I'm in :-)
Sorry to hear about your dog, they do become part of the family don't they? Hopefully all will be fine. (Isn't the vet an expensive exercise)
I agree with your comments and I pointed to the same view by specifically using the term "correct coach". I know you picked up on that.
Professional athletes should be able to perform to their best regardless of whether the coach strokes their ego or nurses them along. However they are young men with failings and immaturity and this is part of the puzzle, how does a coach navigate all the human failings and nuances of his team of talented athletes to produce a cohesive unit that give of their best every game.
I guess Jack Gibson & Wayne Bennett are the two coaches that solved the puzzle.
p.s I seem to have pissed of my "mate" Tony Bongo in the "Help Me Please" blog, there has been a long political debate on the merit of the Greens, I promised you some time ago I would have a crack at the Greens. I've tried to stir Perfecta up, but only achieved some slight annoyance I think.
Well, i wood have to say that your statement is spot on,
Bring on a new year an some players who can handle the pressure,
Weell said Bill
