KIERAN Foran’s $4.8 million hamstrings won’t face a tougher first-up test than trying to stop the world’s greatest halfback _ Johnathan Thurston _ this weekend.

Parramatta fans will welcome this sight of Foran stretching out his suspect hamstrings before training on Monday.

Corey Norman also trained in the morning heat, and will definitely play against the premiers after being cleared of a serious neck injury.

Forced out of last Thursday’s season opener against Brisbane because of tightness in his hamstrings, Foran is tipped to finally make his debut for the Eels at Pirtek Stadium on Saturday night.

And not only will he be forced to do battle with a suspect pair of hamstrings against Thurston, he’ll also do so with limited pre-season game time.

Before Parramatta fans start thinking of Foran as their saviour, they should keep in mind he’s only played around 50 minutes during the Penrith trial.

  • Fifty smifty...

    Giddy up!

  • I reckon Beau Scott will be happy to help Foran stop JT :)
    • Haaaa yes watch their forwards line Scott up. He does pretty well though. He will get JT!
  • So this article is saying both hamstrings. I thought it was just one causing him trouble.
  • If he plays I doubt he'll do any general kicking which puts pressure on Norman. Hopefully we roll through our sets and short attacking kicks are all we need. A lone kicker becomes hazardous against quality opposition.
    • He will do all the short kicks which he punches with a quick short jab anyway. He is the master of it.
Norman will do the long range stuff.
  • Frustrating how Norman is "yeah sweet definitely" and Foran is still "see how I go, hopefully" crap. Yeah he is 99% to play, so why not just say that instead of doing last week's sherade again??
  • If only we had Ian Hindmarsh here to take our field goal kicks.
