Kieran Foran on the verge of re-signing with the Parramatta Eels.

And the Eels appear to have got their man after putting together a contract package that will prise him the New Zealand Warriors. The New Zealand international could be the second Warriors star to defect in recent times following the departure of Konrad Hurrell to the Titans last year.The Eels have been tight-lipped throughout the process, to the point where they have never mentioned his name or their intentions publicly. Foran also wishes to be closer to his family in Sydney, and that could be the deciding factor in the negotiations.AdvertisementForan did not wish to formally talk terms with potential suitors until he had decided where he wanted to play his football, out of a mark of respect to the Warriors . The biggest factor in the 25 year old's deliberations was proximity to his young family.
