Kick to Lomax worked v chooks ?

Just watching back some of the game from the weekend, 3 of our tries came directly from the kick to Lomax and a few others became contests for the footy. My only real issue with the tactic is the amount of energy Lomax would be using to chase and contest from halfway where most of these bombs went up from. Eels are using it to make what would normally be a regulation kick from half way and easy catch into Lomax flying in and making it a battle. Actually incredible motor and effort wise the work of Lomax to do this over 80 mins

  • I worked last week because Tulagi was the target on a few occasions. Lomax hasn't had a lot of joy this year wth referees either as he has been consistently escorted off the ball. In saying that variation is the key. I'd like to see Lomax change his position and lines more and drift infield or even to the other side. The tactic is sound just a little more subtlety and variety. As for the left side yes Papali needs to use the grubber in behind the line more. Say JAC has score 150 tries in his career 110 of them have been kicks in behind the line

  • Probably because Tupou wasn't there

    • Definitely a big reason 😂

Just saw this on Facebook. I've no reason to believe it ain't true (unless the bloke's a scammer with an old photo). I'm not sure the bookies would be too happy about it though....
