Not sure but this Kent says what the other Kent really thinks.
This was about the new NRL Ad, not the Coronavirus. A good dig at the Kent regardless.
Yes. 100%.
Toovey on CONTROVERSY CORNER the other night ... Toovey complained the NRL ad focused on controversy not footy and the game and everyone should be about the footy not controversy ....
I get most my inspiration from Toovey too. Such a wise man, great leader and mentor. Right up there with Kent and the Dalai Lama.
Yeah, go Tooves. Obviously he has no interest in controversy while hosting a Tv show called Controversy Corner. Totally objective footy stuff only.
PS: Kent ... leave politics out of the game. As if rejecting the ad is something other than a political diatribe. Frak me
I think Toovey should run the NRL and be Australian of the year. Maybe even get into politics and run for Prime Minister with Ray Kent as his deputy. Campaign slogan could be "Simply the best bogans"
I didn’t see the episode, but I listened to Six Tackles with Gus the other day and the point he made was that the ad was inappropriate for fans. Fans don’t care about social justice causes, all they need to get excited about the footy is to see some actual footy action.
Gus said the ad they put out was fine for communicating with governments or corporates who care about such things, but not for the average punter.
And as usual, Gus was spot on.
Oh, should we throw Gus into the 'Bogan party' too then?
Toovey for PM, Ray Kent as Deputy PM and Gus for Minister of Non-Foreign Affairs.
Doesn’t make him wrong
