Our one & only Kenny "Cramps" Edwards has won the Challenge Cup Final with the Catalans Dragons against the Warrington Wolves (Chris Sandow's old team) at Wembley stadium.
Kenny Edwards' team, with Tyrone Roberts playing @ halfback, held off Warrington's late attacking raid on their try line which was reminiscent of the Ray Price led Parramatta holding out the Bulldogs' last ditch effort in the 86' Grand Final.
Edwards even pulled out his trademark "hamstring cramp" in the dying seconds of the Final. It wasn't one of his best, but rather, one of his biggest overreactions.
He got tackled, and it looked like he was just gonna get up & play the ball, but in the last split-second whilst still on the ground, he kicked his leg straight out & acted like it was completely locked by his hamstring cramp. The ref's must have said "milking" because he got up & played the ball but not before "playing dumb" & pushing his luck with the ref once again by standing there kind of motioning to the ref (with the ball in both hands) "do you want me to play the ball here Sir"?
He was lucky not to be penalized. Don't ask me if he scored a try because I only caught the last 15 mins of the game.
By the way, the final score was Catalans 20 - Warrington 14.
It was Warrington's 5th Challenge Cup appearance in 10 years, and the second ever Wembley appearance for the Catalans.

What a drastic change in fortune for Kenny ha? He leaves us with the wooden spoon and catches a plane to go & play with French Super League team Catalans Dragons and within a couple of months, wins the Challenge Cup Final at the famous (re-built) Wembley stadium.
Now, knowing our luck, Semi Radradra will probably win the French Rugby Union Grand Final ;)
Good on Kenny, I’m happy for him, he always gave his all onfield for us ... off field stuff aside he wasn’t nowhere near as bad with booboos on field as he was made out to be.
For some reason I am thinking that Catalan had a terrible start to the season, something like 2 from 10.
Ironically, I txt'd a mate when I saw Kenny Edwards smirking a tongue poke at the global viewer. "Punishment for leaving a team fighting it out for the wooden spoon in the NRL? Only to land flat on his feet at Wembly fighting for the Challenge Cup"
Goodon'ya NRL and Parramatta!
Yeah we really needed Kenny after Beau Scott retired & Manu Ma'au copped that fractured eye socket.
At least we got 1 positive out of it all, and that's the fact we got to blood young Niukore.
Injuries to Kaysa&King were also a blessing in disguise 4 Mahoney.
