The Ken Thornett Medal is once again upon us with Parramatta's season coming to an end.
The reigning medal holder is Clint Gutherson and no player has gone back to back since Jarryd Hayne in 2009 and 2010.
There have been a number of standout performers for the side, and with the award being voted on by the players, perhaps we'll see a winner who goes about his business somewhat quietly.
Forwards have actually dominated the awards since their introduction in 1998, although much of that was down to Nathan Hindmarsh netting eight medals.
In recent times, Gutherson, Mitchell Moses, Daniel Alvaro, Nathan Brown and Manu Ma'u have all won.
This season Gutherson will likely be up there alongside Moses, but players such as Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Isaiah Papali'i, Marata Niukore and Junior Paulo are probably all in for a fair shout.
Due to the team relocating north to the Gold Coast, this year's awards are being hosted in Queensland and a free live stream is available via the link below.
