Ken Maumalo is looking for opportunities to get more game time. He wants out of GC Titans. Would be a handy replacement for Simonsson or Sivo. Big and strong who can make the hard yards. Something the Eels have been lacking from their wingers.

Up and down sort of player. Some good, some bad. At his age, I don't think there is enough time to coach some consistency into him. It's a pass ordinarily.
BUT if it was for just this year (Simonsson injury), then yes. But that's a silly suggestion that would never happen. What player would move from GC to Sydney, uproot their life to play for a team struggling just as much and with no guarantee of a contract beyond this year.
The article said he was granted permission to speak to rival clubs in April. He's only contracted to end of 2025. He wants out to pursue opportunities so uprooting his life is not an isssue. Given the lack of winger depth, he would be a handy get, for the right price. It's clear Parra's outside backs are one of the weakest in the comp and all their wingers are reserve grade standard.
So give him 3 years with the third in clubs favour, no more up and down than Sivo

I just feel if he could not get a run in GC over the last two years with their squad, why take a punt? Something must be not going well to not use him when they are desperate. They would rather use Beau Fermor at Centre.
Wouldn't be a terrible idea since Bailey is out for the season, at least it's another option if more injuries come along. If he's cheap enough why not
