Hes only here as a back up. There's no use getting excited fongi. We'll probably offer 1 year with an option in our favour. If people think we are offering good coin or a two or three year deal, they're wrong
I mean could be wrong, doubt it is only for one year. Two years and more likely an option for a 3rd in our favour as that was the apparent sticking point. Also, he would be on ok money for his experience. As for coming here to be a back-up, i think it is more so a fight for your spot no guarentees type situation. I doubt he would be coming here with Ryles saying Simonsson and Russell are our starters you just wait for an opportunity.
Then again, his only other option was SL from all accounts, so perhaps take a deal while you can.
Well GC could be getting Taulagi. I would prefer him but seems Ryles prefers cheaper Wingers or only paying one Winger.

Get a solid player for the centres who you think can learn your defensive system and is relatively cheap so you can spend the cap on spine players.
They then turn into players others want to buy.

Spot on Badger. Ryles will get his defence in order or he won't be playing. Kelly is being underestimated. He can be excellent but inconsistent.
Not a game changer by any means but a decent signing overall. Is he a better centre than Russell? I'd say definitely and I actually like Russell. That alone makes our squad better. Regardless of thoughts, Russell or Kelly both will be a handy back up. Ritchie hasn't had a chance to do week on week up against men consistently with his injuries so don't think it's fair to be relying on him if injuries strike
