Keating's Replacement in the Making

While he's a few years away from his First Grade Debut Zac Clay has impressed NYC coach Steve Speechley. The 17 year old of New Zealand decent is expected to make his NYC debut this season. According to manager Wayne Beavis he is an extremely talented and skillful hooker who is built in the Isaac Luke mould. Let's hope we keep him at the club and keep developing him. Last thing we need is him leaving and becoming the next Cameron Smith.

  • Apparently the club think highly of him. Lets hope highly enough to develop him
  • I've heard great things about this kid.

He was a five-eighth in younger grades and was rated as the most talented pivot since Brett Kenny at the eels.

He has been moved to hooker which is a bit weird, since we have Vescio and Prichard at hooker who are both very talented also.

  • Marquee signing maybe?
    • hes already signed....lol

    • Nah, didn't you hear? Luke Kelly was the marquee signing.
  • If he is in the Isaac Luke mould he won't be the next Cam Smith but maybe the next Isaac Luke.

    • What I meant was that the last thing we need is for him to leave and become the best hooker in the game.

  • Does anyone know if Manly or the dogs have made him an offer yet or are they going to wait til Parra forget about extending his deal and get him for next to nothing?

    • Dogs have offered him 500 k a year. It's ok it's the dogs cap though it's diff to everyone else
  • Im just going off our clubs past efforts in regards to promising jnrs Mack.Bring them into our system, put money into their development for 3 or 4 years and then watch them go to Manly or Canterbury and watch them flourish.
