According to the NRL's data and statistical collecting company, Sports Data, Matt Keating is ranked the number 5 hooker in the competition. He is behind, in order, Isaac Luke, Cameron Smith, Robbie Farah and Andrew McCullough. After all the bagging that MK has had levelled at him he is obviously putting in good performances to be ranked behind some of the best hookers in the game. Apart from McCullough the rest of the hookers have played representative football. IMO Keating's playing the best football of his career and I hope he continues to improve.

SUCK ON THAT Keating bashers.
I honestly reckon he's been in career best form lately, people just don't notice cause the rest of the team are awful.
Do you have a link?
Cam smith not no 1? Robbie 1 win tigers suspended for to games 3rd?
Please these stats are so flawed.
I thought the same thing.
However, by any measure, Keating is currently playing leagues beyond his first few games of last year.
Isaac Luke has been on fire, scoring tries and line breaks galore. Smith is still 2, and Farah has still had good stats in the games he's played.
MK,S the least of our problems atm.... he goes ok, and is not as bad as some make out on here... great defence, starting to run at the line n outa dummy half more often, n hes delivery gets better every game... no not the greatest hooker in the planet, but not the worst either, not by a long shot......
Interesting that Buderus and Ennis can't deliver on the stats, yet they are the front runners for origin. This is why public perception SHOULD NOT be the deciding factor for origin selections. Josh Dugan is ahead in the same way, yet there is little evidence to suggest he is the best candidate when Minichello, Stewart and Hayne all have much better stats and accomplishments to their name.
The Crow would have him first and have him as Captain Hook!
The Crow probably celebrated MK as rising from the dead last weekend.....
Kearney was once rated the number 2 coach in the game....
