Kane Evans on EELS radar for 2018

Seems EELS are favs to win the big Kane Evans signature for 2018.

Says Tigers are other favs, but 1 would have to think they are pushing it, with trying to keep the big 4? Woods is one of those 4. Can't see them retaining Woods and getting Evans.

Evans is a great go forward man, just what we need, defensively very strong too.

Still remember him wiping Kasiano out.

  • Pass to be honest, we need to be looking heavily in other departments right now. And Evans is a decent player, but nothing to get excited about. But that's my opinion, some will probably think otherwise.

    • I'm with mick on this one, which is a rarity I must admit !
    • I had a look at Frank last night on the news with little bro, he looks in better shape than I can reccolect of him since his great running days at Penrith, compare his frame to how he was at the dogs with Kasciano and its huge in difference.  I think he will have a big year and likely good enough for another year or two.

I like Evans but I wonder sometimes if we can have too many players that are all pretty well the same in a team he comes onto the field and does some good stuff but can also go missing and lose impact.

  • We woukd have to get a good deal on him imo to sign him we need to much ml oeny spent in 5/8 or hooker. Can only see this happening if gutho kills it at 5/8
  • I rate this kid highly, has a bigger upside than Paulo imo when he matures as a prop. As always depends on what he's commanding. If he's leaving for opportunity it's worth chasing but can't see us being the front runners when he's from the tigers originally
  • As long as we dont pay overs for him i think he would be a good addition. The positive is his best football is still ahead of him

  • Sign him up, would be a great addition to our team. And as muck said a worthy replacement of frank
  • Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

  • The kid has NRL experience at 25, plays prop or second row, lanky, which is a different body shape to all our current players.

    Runs hard and hits hard.

At 25 still to reach his peak.

    Whats not to like.

  • Meh -good up and coming player but I think we have higher priorities than 'another' forward.

IDG can't have too many years left in him and we desperately need a 9 THAT CAN FREEKING KICK.

The halves situation remains to be resolved, but I am thinking we will be in good shape there.

Nice to see the Eels being in the media without the knives in our backs - nothing about the front office for ages. lol

Must be driving the Daily Turd paper mad.
