Kane Evans appreciation

First thought last year and even the start of this season was what a dud buy he was, since his surge back Into the team he has brought Intensity and an attitude that has made him first pick every week, I love what he brings to the team

  • I hear they’ve been working on his running and contact technique. He definitely leans more forward and his post contact metres and quick play the balls are looking impressive. He seems to finally realise just how big he is.

I admit I’d written him off but he’s come back in a massive way. I’m glad I was wrong.

    • Ditto...But he has been underwhelming for a long time....Glad to be proved wrong....Hope it continues.

  • his sin bin for a fair tackle looked like Lawrence saw him coming and went weak at the knees - crumpled before impact. Klemmer and co will be a big test for him this week

    • Was there any official comment regarding the sin binning of Kane during the week ? I still can’t work out where it warranted a penalty! To lose a player for 10 mins in a game is a massive changer.

My biggest concern is that the on field ref checked with the bunker and it was the bunker who decided that the action was both illegal and warranted a sin bin.

If that’s the case, where is the official sanction against that official ?

  • Kane is going to Cane them this week.

Sorry guy's I will never do this again.

  • I was happy with the buy loads of potential & something to prove, unfortunately after breaking his wrist for Fiji & missing a lot of preseason training he was quite disappointing but he is buying in now & playing with a lot more confidence & i don't think we have seen the best of him yet . There will be more ups & downs to come but imo he is definitely worth sticking with

  • Good improvement over the last few weeks.

  • I’ll admit he’s surprised the hell out of me recently.

Good to see him leading the defensive line speed and putting on some big hits. Let’s hope he can continue to believe and bulk up cause he could potentially become a very good prop.

    • Well he is a great athlete with pretty decent leg speed for a big fella. It's the reason why I'm so excited about the prospect of getting RCG. Evans may make RCG unnecessary.
