One good thing i noticed about Kane Evans is that he is a great decoy when attacking in the the opposition 20m.
Due to the relatively short height average of the eels forward pack, Kane grabs alot of attention and draws multiple defenders as he appears like a much bigger threat than he may actually be when charging at the oppositions try line from medium to close range. Not that hes not a decent threat, just saying that due to the difference between his height compared to the rest of our unusually short forward pack, he becomes like a magnet for defenders in many cases when in the opponents 20 and this should free up some space on the edges and see our outside backs score alot of trys which may help soften the blow of losing Semi.
Still think we are lacking a true battering ram to start off kick returns and to drive us up the middle third of the field and lead our forward pack into the future though.
Matagi is better than Mannah at this due to his speed and ability to bend the line back but theyre both getting on in age
Ppl dont realise that Semi Radradra used to get us out our own end a hell of a lot when our forwards were struggling and thats something we are really gonna miss. He used to make tackle busts and break into open space ALOT when coming out of our own 40m zone
A good goal for 2019 would be to aquire both Junior Paulo & Josh Papalii to give us that true grunt up the middle.
Front Row:
Paulo, Papalii, Evans, Alvaro (2 x Battering rams + 2 x Tall rangy offloaders with good go forward)
Back Row:
Mau, Moeroa, Edwards, Brown
Mannah is in his twiglight years now, 31 next season and pretty soon we are going to need to make moves.
I like Mannah i think hes good value due to his humble grounded persona which helps keep the team humble and working hard. I also like Matagi. Both will be very valuable this year for us but i just think we need a super powerful front row to really be premiership favourites and compete with this insane team that the roosters have put together

FFS!! Mannah is only 5 weeks older then Matagi!!
While Mannah is also under contract for next year and Matagi isn't, additionally BA will never ever drop Mannah for Matagi!!
Hope he kills it this year, he needs to step up to the next level under BA, i dont believe Janes fulfilled his potential yet but if hes ever going to do it his best chance is with BA.
What about Fui for this year
