UPDATE: Parramatta Eels prop Kane Evans will seek to have his grade two high tackle - careless charge downgraded at the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night.
If successful, Evans will be free to play the Eels first semi final on Sunday afternoon.
Evans was charged with grade two high tackle - careless by the NRL Match Review Committee following the Eels’ game against the Sea Eagles in Round 25 at Bankwest Stadium.
The charge carries a base penalty of 150 points and he will miss one week with the early guilty plea.

Fingers crossed. If Taupau gets a week, surely Evans is free to play
So he should. Absolute joke by the NRL!
Evans should not have been charged. It is a collision sport and sometimes things go wrong. Everybody knows and accepts this.
The sooner Peter Valandys takes over from Beatty and his virtue signalling the better off the game will be.
All we need to do then is find away to get rid of Greenberg.
I seen on through the week that they are going to revisit the Tina Turner commercials.
She has agreed to cooperate using the old stuff. She is getting long in the tooth and would be past her best so she will not be recording any songs herself.
Here's hoping the shadow boxer can get off :)
At least Nappa did.
Evans too
lol, if he ever scores a try at Bankwest they should deffinately play Shadow Boxer over the PA..
We need him badly given the broncos strength is their forwards combined with BA not being allowed to play Mannah or his ex manager will be upset. Lucky we get brown back but we still have too many poor contributors sitting on the bench.
Hope he gets off!
Can’t recall too many times we’ve challenged at the judiciary over the years...let alone won. Haynsey ‘09 is the only one that comes to mind...but surely there must be others?
hope sanity does prevail this time.
If he doesn’t get off Meh........gives Kaufusi a chance to show his wears again finally
