Justin Horo

I've been very impressed with his debut over the last few weeks.

I think he adds that impact from the bench and his enthusiasm has been exactly what we need from a bench forward.

I think Oake is more of a workhorse and suited as an 80 minute type player. Oake will be handy if we get an injury to a starting secondrower ie. hindy or benny smith.

  • Agree. I have been very impressed with his input off the bench. Will fit into Shack's role I would assume.
  • I tell you what, watching them warm up on Monday he is a big bugger compared to some of the other players.
  • How about the commitment he showed monday night with that bootlace tackle on Dugan to keep him in-goal from the kick, he was the only one there... Thats what we need more off, then we will start winning games again.

  • As long as he doesn't try any field goals. He looks good though.
  • I was also impressed with Horo - he really had a go, unlike most of his team mates

i dont rate oake at all - every time he plays, it is error after error
  • These blokes are the next generation.
Do you remember when Hindy and Cayless started playing first grade? They showed promise but didn't add a heap until they had played a couple of seasons of first grade. Both went on to represent.
It's encouraging to see that both Horo and Oake are not out of place in the NRL. Neither of them are ready to start in the first grade team, but they are a useful part of the 17. Horo looks big and fit and ready to step up.
  • That was sensational. It was a tackle he wasn't expected to make and it gave everybody a huge lift.
  • I have to say I have been pretty impressed with Horo.
He is really grabbing his first grade opportunity and running with it.
  • He is playing awesome... looks small on TV though....like a young Vella.
  • It's good they're different players as well. Oake is the kind of guy you might want to see replace Hindmarsh if he was unavailable. High workrate and tough in the middle. Horo is more you're running second rower, gives greater impact. I've been most impressed with his defence which I always thought was shoddy at Wentworthville. He's obviously gotten a bit of confidence now and is looking much more comfortable.
