After watching the 1st 10 rounds of the 2014 season, and because of the 7 tackle rule from any 20 metre optional re-start, I have been thinking of a tactical last tackle play.
If the attacking side is 20 to 30 metres out from there opponents line on the last tackle, would you think there would be more value if the attacking side runs the ball on the last rather than putting in a kick that would more than likely result in a 20 metre re-start and therefor giving the opposition 7 tackles??
As I said, just a tactical thought that I had.

Depends on what the oppositions defence is like on the day, if you run it ever time into strong defence you miss out on what could be a 50/50 high ball chance for a try if the kicks in the spot, and if you run it every time the opp will know what your going to do, so its a matter of keeping the variety and targeting weaknesses.
But i understand what your theory is.
And I came up with my theory after 2 MDMA caps and 4 Bart Simpsons!!!!!!
Also, I would love to see the stats on tries scored this season from the 20 metre, 7 tackle re-start and compare it to past seasons when the 20 metre re-start had 6 tackles..
Slippery im encouraging you to give up the drugs, i suspect they are impairing your judgement..
Really? What judgement do you suspect is impaired??
