Would the below pack work? Would Mannah, Alvaro, Ma'u and Moeroa be kicking stones if BA did this move or play to the best?
All six are attacking forwards so it would be interesting to see.
Start:
13. Brown
9. Pritchard
18. Evans
14. Edwards
17. Williams
13. Terepo
Bench:
8. Mannah
10. Alvaro
11. Ma'u
12. Moeroa

In the above scenario Evans would take that first run followed by Brown and Terepo would be running off the back of these two. I don't think it would be a good idea for Terepo to be making those first runs when the defensive line is set as he does have a lose carry.
The starting team would finish off the game, and therefore we hopefully start well and finish well.
you are half right I think we start will but all down hill from there I think we get out to 16 points lead and get run down 28 to 24
Nothing ventured nothing gained!
Agreed.
Mannah, Alvaro, Moeroa and Ma'u haven't been offering much in attack, therefore, my line of thinking is go with our 6 best attacking forwards and hope we can get a decent lead up.
At the risk of repeating myself, but different selections or combinations aren't the issue at present, it's turnovers. Until that is rectified it doesn't matter.
We have to control possession for 80 minutes first.
That is our most immediate concern.
Our pack could be Bromwich, Smith, Klemmer, Wade Graham, Cordner, Taumalolo with Asofa-Solomona, Boyd, Frizell & Trbojevic on the bench and we'd still lose if we only have 40% of possession.
Personnel is not our issue, possession is.
Well said, possession is king! :)
That’s a soccer term ...
Sound logic.
Why would those players consistently have only 40% possession? They are not shit.
I'm not saying they would, the point I'm making is that even if they did, they would be in a similar predicament. No amount of talent can bridge that kind of discrepancy in possession. I don't care how talented you are, if you're giving the opposition 10 extra sets of possession in 80 minutes of footy you're not giving yourself a chance.
Remember, the players we have this year are for the most part the same players we had last year. We didn't have this kind of chronic ball security issue last year with these players.
The bottom line is until we rectify our ball security, there is no point in discussing personnel.
