FORMER Parramatta Eels CEO Denis Fitzgerald ordered documents concerning a project he had set up for his unsuccessful board re-elections to be destroyed, an inquiry has heard.

The allegations were aired yesterday at an Australian Industrial Relations Commission hearing, as former Parramatta Leagues Club CEO Tullio Cofrancesco continued action against his former employer for what he claims was an unfair dismissal.

Cofrancesco was stood down by the Parramatta board in March after a forensic audit uncovered "irregularities" in the Leagues Club's handling of the 2009 board elections, when Fitzgerald was sensationally defeated.

  • One thing for sure - Parra don't look like having an off season - we will just keep rolling in headlines till the season starts next year.
  • I remember the beat up on that what he was going into a club election and he gave out cards on how to vote for him.. Well as we just saw in the federal election that is what everyone does. I don't see that as a problem maybe i'm missing something..
