Ok so hear me out on this before you roll your eyes and say "you are beating a dead horse" since i am the one bringing up this topic all the time. But this blog is simply a what do you think more than conspiracy theory. So the big chatter on here and seems slowly creeping until Gus blew it away slowly with it to resurface at a later date, we are not sure on the Reed scenario with his contract. More likely nothing to see here but it is still fascinating to watch and the result we all would want is possible no matter how slim it is, it is still not 0% chance. As Lloyd Christmas quotes "So, you're telling me there's a chance?"
Anyway, what i want to bring up is even if the situation goes bust for Canterbury and Mahoney is a free agent, would Parramatta even pursue him? We have Hodgson signed and have Matt Arthur coming through, are we content with where we are or would we work out something to get Reed back? Honestly, seeing this management i think they would stay content with where they are and not go through the process of trying to work out two different deals, one being re-signing a player late and the other trying to either medically retire/move on from the other due to their ACL injury. Had Hodgson not got hurt i think my answer would be more a clear cut we would stick to what we have, but with JH injury not sure. As others have pointed JH getting hurt so early could benefit us and him, but no denying i would feel so much more comfortable round 1, 2023 having Reed in the 9. But Parramatta more likely would prefer sticking to what is already done and focus on other areas.
What does everyone else think, and before some say "move on" or "another blog?" just do not read, understand im doing a discussion as i want to see others points of view.
