BA was in attendance, as were numerous first grade squad members including Reed Mahoney and Will Penisini, to see awards being handed out for SG Ball, Harold Matthews and Tarsha Gale Cup.
Will keep this short, but will say some eye catching things, Matt Arthur got two awards: Best Forward and Coaches Award. Now i know most people here use the N-word and i am not a massive JA fan myself, but with Reed leaving and JH only here on a two-year deal, it is nice to see our possible future rake get some recognition, hopefully he turns into a good first grader, let's be fair if he plays well his name is an afterthought.
Saxon Pryke got two awards: Coaches Award and Best and Fairest, a storming back-rower who i believe could train with the top grade next year as did forwards like David Hollis and Sam Hughes did in 2020 after leaving SG Ball.
Dom De Stradis recieved two awards also in SG Ball: Best forward and Player's player, shared with another player in each award. Another one who could train with the top grade and it is wonderful to see some forwards start to come through the pathways, had some last year but havent made it quite yet but these kids hopefully will add the goods.
