We are struggling at the moment with both harold mathews and sg ball.
Any ideas why this age has gone backwards . Was only a couple of years ago the eels were smoking . I remember watching games were parra in hm would beat bulldogs 50 -0. Is there any any reason why they are struggling now.

My guess is it's because BAs young blokes have gotten older and are no longer playing in these younger squads.
🎣 .... this shark rejected the burley 😉
😂
They arnt getting as good quality coke as they were before.
We may be playing up a year in both? It happens from time to time.
My mail my from across the oceans, is picking the wrong coaches, therefore the wrong players... but hey- what does Bert know.
100% correct Bert , this especially the case at Harold Matt's there will be a big fallout from this . Let's hope the club make the correct decisions and replace and put the right people in there instead of having mates in there running the junior programs .
Bingo! It's not a hard fix, Simmo. Unfortunately runs rife through the whole club.
Watching Manly drive to blacktown , cabramatta and like collecting talented boys in buses and having them all play for Manly knowing they were born and raised in the Penrith /parramatta catchment areas . I think having strong country links is vital as well . Penrith have snared some good players from west of the blue mountains namely Yeo, Martin, Burton , Staines I believe .
The system needs to identify early, educate them and support them , encourage siblings along the pathway , but identification is the no 1 thing .
Paul the problem is our juniors programs are not good enough if your a development club . We will loose more of our top juniors because it's so political it's all about a job for the boys . They need to go out and hire the best coaches instead of looking after there mates . They need to have a review ASAP with what happened this yr before they loose all there top juniors to better development programs . What's happening is not good enough.
