Seems to be a lot of talk about junior Paulo coming back next year which is music to my ears because i think he could be the final piece of the puzzle for this team.

Barney bear to his credit has put his balls on the block and stated he will be here next year and hes not the only one claiming it,.

Juniors a quality front rower and they arnt easy to come by, especially at our club who have been starved of quality props for over 30 years.

Hes at a good age and still on the upward curve, hes got multiple skills in his game and hes a dynamic front rower imo on his day, they are hard to come by.

He would turn our pack into a very good pack and would be able to replace Timmy who ive heard is retiring god bless him.

So its a massive yes from me for Junior, i can forgive him for chasing the big dollars with his buddy sticky, id love to see him back in eels colours, im sure hes learned the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Would you want him back if it was for a respectable price?

For mine hes the missing piece of the puzzle in our pack.

  • If true, it would need to be considered.

I like that we haven't had many players in the headlines for the wrong thing this year.

    Hopefully Junior has matured.

  • I love to have Junior back name hes price

  • I really hope he doesn't come back!
  • If he's willing to work hard and be a more mature person off the field, yes, we should take him.

Interchange him and Vave and lose nothing.

Paulo on the bench with Terepo or Alvaro would make a great combo, in both impact and smart, hard running.
  • I reckon he would be fantastic - exactly the type of prop I would like to see us sign.

    Really hope it happens :)

  • How long is left on his raiders contract. One or two years??
  • Couldn't this have been a comment in the other blog?
  • I want him at the eels. The gossip I hear is that Canberra are over the $9.2m cap next year and need to release player/s. Like we found with Peats, no point releasing 2-3 lower paid players, get rid of one higher paid player. I think they are paying him $750k a year - if we pay him $500 and they top us up ... sold!

In our well-justified praise of Ryley Smith, there is a big thing being missed: his ability to read the game and footy IQ.
