Jt best player in this generation?

In my opinion jt is the best player in my generation. Unlike Lockyer, Cronk, Smith, slater, this guy created a club that could have potentially folded with out him. Next immortal in my eyes. True champion on and off the field.

  • Smith is the greatest for me, Jt second
  • Great player , better person from all reports . No one has a bad word to say about him. Best I have seen . Just a competitor and great team player
  • All this immortal stuff is really over the top. How can you even compare Rugby League when it was 'unlimited tackle ' leather football, no kicking tee, head high tackles, shoulder charges, the biff, no sin bin, limited inter change TO this modern day fairy floss football.

  • Cam Smith. I know I sound like a broken record but rugby league is also tackle ability.
  • Totally agree. Unlike smith and Lockeyer JT could turn the tide of a game single handed - which he often had to do because unlike lockeyer and smith he didn’t have 10+ internationals beside him every match
  • Except all the 1's you named except JT could tackle.

  • The greatest football I’ve ever seen anyone play was Hayne in 09. You can talk about longevity or consistency all you like but the period of football he played to take us from last to the grand final was extraordinary, sublime there’s not enough superlatives. I’ll never see anyone play like that in my lifetime again it was out of this world and whether you like him or loathe him you can’t deny it wasn’t the greatest football ever played by an individual.
    • And if only he had of at least tried to catch that bomb early in the second half of the GF Inglis doesn't score and we win the game.
    • If Slater wasn’t awarded that strip penalty where he clearly dropped it cold we would have come over the top of them. We would have been the only team ever to defeat the entire top four in the semi finals to win it and from last.
  • No doubt one of the greatest. He still isn't as good as Johns. Remember JT in the early years of the cowboys they were duds he was good but needed much help and development. Will be an immortal. Smith is the best player i have seen. Take away your sentiments and focus on football and his ability to control and dictate a game is enormous. Yes he had Cronk and Slater and Bellamy but he is an absolute freak
