I would hardly call a 33 year old coming back from season ending knee surgery "fresh" Mick.
I was optimistic about signing Hodgo BEM, it's appears it was the wrong call and letting Reed go will prove one of the dumbest calls made by the club - I would have sacrificed gutho for Reed every day of the week.

It's a good question. Would a player agree to an injury clause in a contract if that injury was sustained playing the game? I doubt it.
Unless he is medically retired I'd say this is just our bad luck. At his age coming back from an ACL seems like a big ask though.
I guess the question becomes, is he physically capable of fulfilling his contract?
Similar scenario to Watmough? How do we get ourselves into these predicaments?
