  • far out, the sharkies are making it their priority to sign our rejects
  • Did i hear right and the sharks now dont have a NSW cup team due to lack of funding? If thats the case where are all these players not in the top 17 going to play???

I think they have bought a heap of fringe first graders and no real first class talent!!
    • I thought I heard somewhere that they pulled out of the NSW cup to join the Qld cup. Not sure if this is true though??
      • No this isn't true. They will have a team in the NSW Cup in 2010. If you want to read about it the link is here: http://www.sharks.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=21551

NOTE to Daneel: I am not trying to bamboozle the 1eyed eel site with sharkies talk, in case thats what you are thinking. In fact the only people who seem to be bringing up the sharks are the eels supporters. Just thought I'd reply to this one since the conversation came up.
        • Haha, Geez... I didnt mean to sound like a total Nazi!!

No, its fair game mate. Afterall, it is a blog regarding a former Eel, who is now a Shark.
I hope for his sake he finds a new level to his game. Sometimes a change of environment can bring out the best in someone..... just look at Kevin Kingston :)
    • I have to say I am a little concerned by their signings as well but given their financial woes I guess they just don't have the money at the moment.

Although I am looking forward to seeing how John Morris,Albert Kelly, Dean Collis and Adam Cuthbertson go...
  • I'm sure I read that Cordoba failed to impress over in England.
Poor old Sharkies. Clutching at straws.

I like Josh Cordoba and from what I've seen he seems to be a good bloke. Unfortunately that counts for little if he can't cut it at NRL level.
  • look like he could have been a good prop, maybe lacking desiree to succeed at the top level.
  • I'm afraid the game passed Josh by. Props got bigger and second rowers got faster and he got left somewhere in between.
  • they have signed like 10 shit players when they could of bought atleast 3 big name players, no wonder they havent won any premierships they have no idea
