Josh Addo Carr to Dogs

Looks like JAC has signed with Dogs 4 years 2 mill.  Starting from 2022.

I thought the Dogs were in financial troubles for a number of years due to bad contracts and back ended deals?  They have signed a number of players since Trent Barrett agreed to coach them!

I preferred them as a basket case to be honest.

  • Building nicely.   Good thing is that big signings pressure others to jump and we might pick up a decent bargain along the way .

    great winger good fullback

  • Classic case of signing whoever is available and trying to make some sort of team out of it. The Dogs have spent a lot of money but they really haven't improved a whole lot I don't think.

    • Not next year they won't be, they've added some players, but they've made the cream and forgot the cake.

JAC & Cotric will be wasted in that team. When you rebuild you've got to start in the middle and work outwards.

    • Uhhmm,, what have the Dogs done since 2014? They have been shit for long periods just like the Eels!!

    • Yep

      • I think they might surprise a few people. They won't win the premiership but I think 8th to 12th is about right.

        • Don't get me wrong, they'll definitely improve, but I can't see them getting out if the bottom 4 without significant upgrades in the spine.

Jack Hetherington was a good bit of business for them, but the rest were luxury's they didn't need right now.

          • 8 to 12 is progress considering where they have been for the last couple of years Coryn.

They definitely won't do better than we have under BA as Barrett may be a great assistant coach but I don't rate him as a head coach.

He is no where near as good as BA.

            • You're kidding mate please give us a break we would never ever get a sniff of the premiership with BA at the helm mark my words .

              • We finished in third and made the finals. In my book that is getting a sniff of the premiership.

Remember 15 coaches didn't coach their team to a premiership.

BA is very much like Meninga. BA is a very good man manager but needs to surround him self with the right crew like Mal did during their SOO dominance.

We have a good enough team and coach but just need that little bit extra help to get us there.

If you don't think BA is the man for the job then who is your pick out of what's available?
