Jordan Rankin new Jersey Flegg coach

Jordan Rankin has be hired as the new head coach of Jersey Flegg, Former Flegg coach Craig Brennan has moved to be an assistant in NSW Cup alongside Nathan Cayles. How in god's greenearth Cayless still has a job is beyond. How we can finish with both NRL and NSW cup sides missing the 8 and not a single coach is sacked or moved on is beyond me.

But overall well done Jordan.

  • The current standards and expectations of the club are at an all time low quite obviously.

As for Rankin, if he's as good a coach as he is a half, then he's got no future as a coach.

We need an overhaul at the club, starting with the CEO, HOF and coaching ranks

    • I don't know if it is at an all-time low. The early to mid 90's come to mind, when under Fitzy's reign the club was happy to dish out jobs to the old boys like Ron Hilditch (who had previously overseen multiple spoon years at Illawarra) and we were holding onto players like Paul Dunn who was well, well past his prime, Greg Drake, Cameron Blair, Tulsen Tollett etc... truly halcyon days those were...

  • Rankin did a good job as captain coach a season ago and was assistant for the flegg side he may have a future.

As for cayless his record is really terrible we need to rethink what accaptaptable looks like as a club

  • Cayless was a failure at The Tigers . It's part of the job application process.

    " are you a Tigers reject ? , you are ? , welcome aboard "

Mark will have Tim Sheens here next . He's trying to recreate his own little Tiger town. Look out ladies.

    • Good to see you and Mark on a first name basis Wiz, it seems those bonding sessions in the Thailand Massage parlours was the joining of your souls. That fact that a little swapping was taking place, no doubt helped.

Is it true that when you put in your appication for soft drink sales manager at Wooly's that it caused a major shift in your relationship ..........I understood it was not his fault as the Human Resources manager said we cannot employ this man Mark, he has no education and his people skills are terrible, he causes internal problems, even in his own company and he is a sole operator!

Just tell him we have nothing available in sales but we do need a trolley boy in the Illawarra store......how come he cannot get at  least one good reference? Some guy called Poppa, one of his referees did say "he just needs a good boot up the arse" after that he will settle down and that's why we can offer him the trolley boy job.

  • Rankin was an ordinary player, and probably an ordinary coach.

    • Belamy was an ordinary player as well.

Not defending Rankin's appointment here but your argument of ordinary player = ordinary coach doesn't hold I'm afraid.

      • That's right because BA was a shithouse player but he's an absolute star as a coach!

        • Fitler was a fantastic player but a shit coach. It works both ways.

But in the case of BA, you're right Frank he's special LOL.

        • If you look at BA's playing record you would not say that Heisen.

You seem to rate your self as a pretty fair judge, how many sides did you captain coach to win country  championships.

He has coached for 10 years in NRL and has a record that would indicate he  is not a failure. I suspect he would be regarded as a pretty good coach by his peers......how do your peers rate you? and for that matter all the other dumbasses who think he cannot coach.....how does he sit with yourselves when you are judged by your peers.

Try being supporters rather than fans.....you would be surprised how much better you will feel!
