EN’s Matty Johns has launched a scathing critique of the Parramatta Eels stating that the only consistent aspect of the team is their inconsistency.
After dismantling the Manly Sea Eagles the week prior, the Eels put it a horrid performance against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and failed to register a score in their 26-0 loss on Friday.
“If you are serious about genuinely believing you can win this competition, then getting beaten second week of the finals isn’t a successful season,” he said.
“I just don’t know where they are as a club.
“When they start every year and say we can win the competition this year, do they really mean it?
“Here we are and we find Parramatta at the same place.”
The Eels host the Bulldogs on August 20 at CommBank Stadium in Round 23.

The coach and coaching staff sure don't know either. One thing we all know is DEFENCE is non existent. Then there's the lack of ruck and line speed, long Mahoney sunny half passes that gives the defence time to smash our ball runners, deep bombs that puts no pressure on the opposition, lack of creative kicks. I can go on and on...

Matty Johns, someone who usually always plays the fair person in that he always says coaches should never be sacked and players are doing well, plays it safe when critiqing.
Now, you can see he is even saying it is getting ridiculous.
Matty just taking the focus of his dopey coached knights. But its true the eels lack identity under Arthur especially with the lack of home bred players. I feel a disconnect with the team more than at any other time. The captain Gutherson is just a money hungry weasel and has stuck by ayub after he rubished tge club on numerous occasions
BA will find some way to suade the board to keep him, he will say what went wrong and how to fix it, while the board sign off on a 2027 extension in the process.

The eels are full of shit. Same old crap delivered year in year out and the only constant is our coach. I don't blame him entirely. I blame the imbeciles O'Neill and Sarantinos for not having the balls to make changes.
