I know we don't have a game this week but I wonder when we'll see Joey Lussick line-up for the Eels in the Holden Cup? He was the captain of our SG Ball side this year that lost in the semi-finals to Balmain and was a regular feature on our try-scoring list. After reading up a little on him I see that he goes to the same High School as Tepai Moeroa (Newington College) which may be the reason he's not playing in our Under 20's? As he has Union commitments. Hopefully Parra can hold on to him as he has a lot of potential and is pretty big for a dummy-half of his age, apparently. In saying this though we've uncovered a decent hooker in Kaysa Pritchard and it looks like ZDC is being groomed for hooker in the Holden Cup.

Or more the point missing out on the opportunities to get to FG like some of our other juniors?
I'm sure if it were up to Tepai and Lussick they would be playing League all the time but it doesn't hurt them imo. Both are looking to be picked for the Australian team to tour England over the Christmas period and that'd be an awesome experience for both players. I'm pretty sure in Union Joey plays scrum-half which is related to the dummy-half position in League but scrum-halves kick more and run less but it will give him more of an opportunity to see where gaps open themselves up in the 15-man game. Tepai plays inside centre, which is close enough to his position of wide-running second-row in League.
At this early stage of their career as long as they're enjoying what they're doing I don't think it will hinder them too much in the long run.
Nice picture top gun!!!!
