On his day he can be a game breaker, hes a tough hombre with a lot of experiance and still a few years of 1st grade in him.

He can play in multiple positions including centre and would give us some x factor off the bench.

I heard him say he's willing to take a one year lifeline deal.

If only for a year, whats there to lose?

Yes he has a rep for being a bit disruptionable but BA rates himself at getting the best out of these type of players and got good footy out of Danny Wicks, Manu etc.

Yes or no?

We could do with some mongrel who can cover a few positions.

  • BJ shouldn't even be a consideration. Both his attitude and his ability is trash. I can't see him playing NRL again.

    • He has serious ability, its his application of it thats the issue.

      • He 'had' the ability, no disputing that. But he doesn't have the mental application to get back to where he was. Usually the benefit here for clubs is that they have an older, wiser player that makes better decisions because they can see the game better, but BJ has proven this isn't always the case.

  • His defence is awful.

    • Defence is attitude venge, he hasnt been happy for a long time at the Tigs.

You dont get 850k contacts if you have no skills and your defence is shit.

A new club, new environment, new coaches, new goals, new motivation combined with a one year deal on a very low wage, theres not a lot to lose is there?

BA has a history of buying these types of guys.

      • If we could leverage and get his brother to compensate for the potential loss of Paulo I'd consider it.

        • We're NOT losing Junior.

    • Yep otherwise he would have already moved into the forwards. Probably a combination of inability to read attacking structures and attitude issues. Problem with this bloke is he doesn't seem to have the work ethic to overcome his shortcomings. Could be devistating with good ball inside the opposing 20, but unfortunately his negatives outweighs this. Surely a team in the super league are considering him.

  • Hell no

  • It would take more than 1 off season to get that lazy heap into shape.
I saw him give up on the play so often playing for the Tigers. The dude has no heart.
