Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this team. At the beginning of the year they looked to be world beaters but have simple crashed and today are down 26 nil at have time. Are they playing above there age group.

Well there has been a lot of movement in the team. If a player is top notch in Flegg they are usually taken out and put in Cup. But Fletcher is now in Cup. Talagi is in Cup. There are so many players eligible for Flegg in Cup today.
Flegg though is a weird competition in terms of development as it is under 21's yet if a player is pushing for NRL they usually are in Cup before they are ineligible. Unlike Ball or Matts where players are there for their age and it is only half a season and move into Flegg or Cup after Ball. Flegg is a step up but Cup is a bigger step and usually that takes priority.
It seems to me they are not revved up for the game today they almost won. Even though miles behind at 1/2 time. I would love to see more of the players playing where they should be in age and move them up for experience just a few games a year. I think then our culture would change as we learn how to win. Also the team then being successful is likely to keep players at the club. The player can play basically 1/2 the season up before becoming ineligible. Final score 32 to 26
The recruitment is so poor and add injuries they have to fast track them. I think miller is suspended also.
The 7/3/4/5 are all garbage...
The forwards arent coached to play with any aggression in attack or defence.
BTW Sorovi scored another try in Shield today thats 12 or 13 in 6 games I think.. But still cant get a crack...

We can only hope they think he will develop more playing against older players.
Otherwise, maybe someone can ask at the next supporters group meet up.

Lorima had a couple of poor moments today in JF with the drop with the try line over (yes the pass was over his head) and when he got tackled in the ingoal. But you can see the difference of his athelticism to the other OB's in that team.
Unfortunately for JF they didn't defend well at all in the first half which didn't help with all the penalties and 6 agains the roosters got. Once the ref stopped with all of it, eels actually dominated the roosters. Unfortunately. Ofanoa had 2 crucial errors when we were completing the comback (knock on and overrunning causes Coinakis to pass forward at DH). Roksuka cramping causing us to defend with 12 for roosters last try didnt help either.
Surely, cannot be another reason Walker, Tuala and Kakoi are picked over him.

No club puts their best under 21 players in Jersey Flegg. We also have Tuivaiti and Da Silva in the NRL team. Both under 21. Anyone who thinks the Flegg results says anything about recruitment/retention is just looking for stuff to complain about.
