Was Luia's tackle on Baily Simonsson deliberate??
I think so.
I think Luia would have know that the Eels would have struggled to cover his position.
As soon as Simonsson went off the Pantehrs attacked that side of the field all afternoon.
Lui was not at all worried about being placed on report as he knew he would only have to pay a fine,
which is why he attempted to trip an Eel player later in the game.
Not very sportsman like to say the least.
I hope the Eels have a "get square" plan for Luia next time they meet.
I thought the Eels played great. They played to their strengths and used a simple but effective game plan.
The Eels can improve on Friday night's effort but I doubt the Panthers can. They brought their "A" game along
on Friday night. They had a point to prove. But they wont be able to mainatin that intensity week after week.
Particulary if their drug supply runs low!!!

Of course it was intentional.
He swung his arm with a closed fist for maximum impact.
How the fuck it was only a grade one is beyond me.
I mean if it was intentional he's either a complete moron or he knows that the NRL is rigged. Weirdly I'm leaning more towards him being a complete dumb fuck.
The only upside to this is he's going to build up his points this year with stupid shit, most of which he'll get away with. Then he goes to Tigers next year and learns a hard lesson that the usual shit he gets away with won't fly when he's outside the protected species.
Luai plays a grubby game - he intentionally plays a grubby game. He'll keep doing it until he gets punished for it because it works for him.
I very rarely take a swipe at the refs but the fact that the downtown rule was ignored (after supposedly being a specific focus this year), Luai getting put on report twice and getting a slap on the wrist, leg pulls happening which were also apparently the focus is pretty hard to swallow.
Had the game been reffed predictably then Luai would have been sent, we would have got an 18th man, and the result could well have been a different one.
Either way, as long as we keep this terrible game up our sleeves to throw at the refs a week out from our next Panthers matchup so we get the rub of the green next time.
