I think his staying is a combination of a few factors, none of which has anything to do with "unfinished business at Parra".
1. He would have had to take a pay cut on his 2019 salary.
2. He is Western Sydney boy who is married and recently had a kid; he would have no desire to uproot his family now for a new start in an unknown city away from his support networks.
3. His brother plays at Parra.
He was terrible last year, probably our worst player. Lets hope he makes up for it this year.
Why he shunned the Knights? Really? Didn't have anything to do with the extension being in his faviour and the ridiculour amount of money he is getting paid this season?
I believe he stayed for a couple of reasons, them being he would of received a pay cut and secondly I don't think anyone really wanted him except Newcastle and with their squad he would of ended up playing reserve grade I think.
The only reason he came to Parra was cause we are the only club stoopid enough to offer him a massive contract with an option in his favour. The only reason he took up the option is cause no other club in the league was willing to pay his ridiculous salary even after we were going to fund some of it.
"$300K could help pay for an elite junior to be developed by the Eels over a number of years to be NRL ready and then immediatley poached to another club. mmmmmmmm"
"Zach will eventually get back into the nrl, no one hates him it's just a bigger issue in the game. These contracts are useless and storm trying to benefit from it. Eels need to get proper value in return."
"Yes Nitram, Nrl do think all fans are stupid suckers...think they showed this couldn't care less attitude to fans, back when they changed NRL GF time slot.
and obviously in their blatantly shown attitude towards this issue re support what is clearly…"

When Jennings is ON he's great but when he's OFF he's terrible! Lets hope he stays ON all year!
Really. MJ stayed because anything else was a pay cut.
End of the day he is the best centre in our team and we need him to be better then last year

LOL!! Another quality article.
If the money was right this mercenary would of been out of here first chance he got.

To be fair, no one else in the team has been passing to Semi either.
