Jennings

Anyone see the footage of Jennings in the sheds after he got sun binned??? He look distraught, which I think is a good thing. But can anyone confirm whether there was some other reason he was in tears???

  • I reckon it was a case of how far his career has slipped since becoming an eel and watching his old team give it to us and finish on top of the ladder whilst the team he plays for finished last.

    • Or maybe he just broke a fingernail.
  • Been a long time since I saw a top grade quality footballer decline so much in form barring a injury. He is so far removed from the player he once was. Has to be matters outside football as well that has seen him decline so rapidly.  Needs to be moved on ASAP.  For his his health and the clubs.

    • I thought the same, paul.

I'd say there has been quite a lot happen behind closed doors this year that us fans are not privvy too.

      A whole heap it seems.

  • Watching Jennings closely, he cant get into games, he has no free ball, he pushes passes that are not on, he gets frustrated when he drops balls, he looks to the ref every time he makes an error trying to blame it on someone else. This is someone that is not enjoying footy and not enjoying the aspect of life around footy.

For his own health and being , sometimes you need to reinvent yourself and move on. Appears that he moves on everu three or so years from clubs an plays  great the first year at the new club as he re establishes himself at the new place.

Money is keeping him at parra NOT love.

    • He obviously doesn't want to be at the eels, but the extra 12 months in his favour on around 800k means he has to stay because he knows that if he tested the market other clubs wouldn't offer half of that.

Sometimes it's better not to chase the money and get your life back on track, just ask Hayne.

    • What about his brothers brilliant defensive effort against the Roosters. Was caught out of position all night

      •  Kerry George : Yes, I noticed that. To do it once is regrettable but to do it again requires some explanation. Could it be that it was the instruction from the coach to come in and cut off the ball before it got to the winger? Some clubs adopt that procedure. George Jennings has been a fair defender in games previously. Or was it a ploy by Arthur to make Ferguson look good because he signed him for three years? I don`t think he is that smart!

  • I've never seen a player decline as badly as Michael Jennings has. First two seasons he was good, yes he never passed the ball but the Michael Jennings of 2018 is almost an imposter. I'm not sure what to make of the crying, it could of been an act to draw attention away from him being sin binned for I think the third time this year and to curry favour into people feeling sorry for him.
  • When all you had was speed and elusiveness, Father Time catches up then you have nothing else to fall back on to remain competitive. Time to hang up the boots ASAP.

"Big motor for a big bloke. It's the same with Tuivaiti, they both seem to keep coming with the ability to play big minutes. They'd both have to be 115kg plus. Not sure who the conditioning coach is but he's doing a good job on these young blokes."
