  Born in Blacktown, New South Wales, Jennings is of Tongan, Fijian and English descent.[2] Jennings is the nephew of 1960s All Black Arthur Jennings.[2]
  
  He played his junior football for the Western City Tigers Mt Druitt and St Mary's Saints before being signed by the Penrith Panthers.[3] Jennings played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 2005. Jennings attended Blackett Primary School and St Dominic's College.[4]

    Where you one of the 1EE members who were adamant that Hiku had already signed with the Eels?
    Genuine question - I cannot recall for sure, but have a vague memory of the culprits.

    1. No one ever reported that Hiku signed with Parra before renigging. That is speculation (albeit, it could still be correct).
    2. Some 1EE members blogged with a real air of authority regarding the signing of Hiku and the dates on which it would be announced by the club. I have definately lost respect for the opinions of those responsible for the blogs.
    3. The opportunity to pick up Jennings seems to have been precipitated by Roberts signing with Broncos - meaning Jennings was not on our radar when the Eels dropped out of the race for Hiku.

  2. Hiku may have signed with eels and reneged before the cooling off period had expired when he got a better offer or may have been as good as done but Parra pulled out when they got wind
